How I made Gratitude card for Stamp Club

Stampin Day!
Preparing for my October Stamp Clubs!
Even tho in Texas it is still warm and we don't have changing of the seasons like most of you do,
I still LOVE FALL!  I love the colors and the textures!
I wanted to use some left over In Color Dalias from a previous project.
I also learned about a new fold called a Dutch Fold and loved how different it was.
I used Summer Starfruit Cardstock for the base
Cut two strips
ONE - 4 3/16" X 9" for the base
TWO - 2" x 8 1/2" for dutch fold
Then I cut a layer of soft suede 3 1/4" x 4"
ran that thru the stripes folder (I honestly try to make cards with out the Big Shot....doesn't work!)

Attach Dalia's with Mini Glue Dots

The Summer Starfruit is a really a better Fall color!  Than Summer!
If you flip the cake design over you get this really pretty Summer Starfruit print,
I thought it looked perfect for the gate fold of my card!
I cut TWO pieces 2 3/4" x 2"
I attached those with Snail adhesive

If you will use Tombo glue to attach any layers to an embossed piece of cardstock
You will LOVE that it won't fall off!
The liquid glue gets down in all the crevices and makes a better bond!

You need these!!!!

I decided I needed a bit of cardstock to make the Incolor Dalias item #127556 pop better
so I used the Boho Blossoms punch item #119858 and Soft Suede Cardstock  item #115318 to punch
one flower!

I used an old technique called "thumbing" for the flower from Day of Gratitude
on page 27 of the 2012-2013 catalog.
I inked up the flower first with Summer Starfruit ink,
then I took two markers (Soft Suede and Gumball Green)
and using a light tapping motion I applied color all over the stamped image.

Those of you that know me know I have a little hot air!
Since the inks dry pretty fast if you will "exhale" on the stamp it will
refresh the inks, then you can stamp!
I stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock!

Then I used a sponge and sponged Soft Suede ink all around.

The NEW STAMP PADS are very juicy!
I like to ink up my sponges with the outer edge of the pads,
since when I ink up a stamp
I always aim for the center!

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed sharing with you!

Sharon
